Speakers urge the Chinese companies to set up a chemical and spare parts factory in EZ of Bangladesh to reduce lead time and cost

In the seminar, Rita Lu, Director, Wuxi Yeicheng Chemicals Co Ltd said, her welcome speech, We consider Bangladesh as one of the most vibrant markets for the textile industry. Wuxi Yicheng Chemical Co., LTD, which specialized in textile auxiliaries, was established in 2005. The city our company is located is not far away from Shanghai (about 200km). So far, we have more than 120 different types of chemical additive products in a series of pre-treatment, dyeing & printing, after-treatment auxiliaries, and functional additives. Our products have got the certification of ISO9001, Oeko-tex standard 100, Intertek, and SGS. We have a certain market in China, meanwhile, we are actively extending the overseas markets, especially in Bangladesh.

Besides Rita Lu, Director, Wuxi Yeicheng Chemicals Co Ltd presenting the sustainable products which to reduce water, energy and increase productivity.

In the panel discussion on the topic Cost optimization and process development in textile processing . M A Islam Riyadh ,Editor,Textile Focus & Denim Focus moderated the panel discussion. Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President, ITET & MD, Hams Group, Shovon Islam, Managing Director, Sparrow Group; Chairman, BGMEA Standing Committee on Press and Publicity. Mohammed Kamal Uddin, Managing Director, Torque Group; Chairman, BGMEA Standing Committee on Trade Fair; Co-Chairman, FBCCI Standing Committee on RMG attended the panel discussion. Textile Focus was the media partner in this event.

Engr. Shafiqur Rahman, President, ITET and Managing Director, HAMS Group said,  “After COVID-19 pandemic, Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry surprisingly has performed well. In the last FY22 Bangladesh RMG exported around 42.61 billion and overall exports crossed 50 billion.

Engr. Shafiqur Rahman also said, as a manufacturer, we are always focusing on sustainable technology which will reduce water, energy and chemical and I hope that Wuxi company and XTY solutions will help to reduce production cost and save resources. He also urges the government to provide uninterrupted energy supply for driving the technology.

 Shovon Islam, Managing Director, Sparrow Group  said, the RMG industry of Bangladesh envisions pursuing growth in a sustainable manner that takes care of people and the planet. “The RMG industry of Bangladesh has many good stories in the area of sustainability which make us one of the front-runners in the marathon.

Shovon Islam highlighted the green reveloution in Bangladesh where 168 LEED certified green garments factory in Bangladesh. He also said,  Chinese suppliers need to  invest in the economic zone by setting up a chemicals and spare parts manufacturing plant to reduce lead time. Still Bangladesh is a good market for chinese textile suppliers,,Mr,.Shovon added.

Mohammed Kamal Uddin, Managing Director, Torque Group said, Bangladesh is the global leader having the highest number of green garment buildings, Out of the top 10 USGBC LEED certified factories, 7 are in Bangladesh. Bangladeshi apparel manufacturers are already implementing sustainable practices and green initiatives into the value chain, there is still room for improvement — particularly for the occupational health and safety areas of the spinning, weaving and knitting, and dyeing and finishing sectors. In denim , Bangladesh bragged the top denim apparel exporter to the USA market.

During the ongoing global crisis, technology can help enhance communication among buyers and suppliers thereby reducing the need to meet in-person.

Mr. Kamal Uddin invited the organizer to attend the upcoming BGMEA event,Made in Bangladesh Week and promote their sustainable products.
