Ahsan Mahmood joins Nordic Sourcing as CEO

Ahsan Mahmood has joined Nordic Sourcing as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As a CEO, He looks after the total operation of Bangladesh, as well as, business planning, operation, sourcing and other works.

Before joining Nordic Sourcing, he served as regional head (Bangladesh and India) of the leading Swedish brand. Ahsan Mahmood is an experienced veteran with a demonstrated history of working in the retail industry for the last 22 years.

During his professional journey, he performed important roles at different departments factory and international clothing brands. He worked in Padma Poly Cotton, Square Fashion, Synergies Sourcing, Mayoral Moda Infantil and Gina Tricot. In January 2024 he started his journey with Nordic Sourcing.

Nordic Sourcing is a Bangladeshi company created in 2020, specialising in garment fashion. Our segment is mainly denim, heavy knit, jersey, woven and handicrafts. We also do sports and outdoors. With more than 20 years of experience in the garment industry and know-how in the Bangladeshi and Global Markets, our leverage is very high.

Ahsan Mahmood said, our business idea is to partner up with well-selected factories and brands to work with a long-term perspective with sustainable growth! We see ourselves as a modern buying and sourcing house customizing to our customer’s needs. A fresh and easier way of working. Our most of the Buyers are from Europe based.

He also said, their core values are, Quality, Receptiveness, Commitment and innovation. Quality is a key priority and focus area. We maintain well-established routines and processes to always deliver the best products and fulfil high expectations.

Our partners work with a vertical supply chain to keep control and maintain the highest possible quality Well established in-house quality control team working with factories on a daily basis to ensure quality and in-time delivery, he added.

Regarding on conversation about the Bangladesh market, Bangladesh is very important! We have invested in a local production office with our own staff covering sourcing, merchandising, quality, CSR, and environment, we see a growth in the RMG sector in Bangladesh for Nordic Sourcing. We believe a lot to increase from our business plan to Bangladesh. This is a country for now and the future, Ahsan added.
