Desk Report: The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and USB Certification, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 13, 2022, with the intention of establishing a textile and fabric testing laboratory at the AIUB campus. It was agreed that AIUB and USB Certification will create cooperative activities such as collaborative research and development initiatives in different sectors. The MoU will be valid for five years. The laboratory to be established within the university within the scope of the cooperation will also be considered as an area for students to gain internship and experience. In this context,
USB Certification will open the laboratories’ doors to the university’s students, contribute to the capacity development of Bangladesh engineers and technical staff, and transfer their experiences to the people of Bangladesh. As a continuation of this long-term cooperation, it is aimed to establish laboratories in the fields of electricity, electronics, mechanics, food, and agriculture.
