With the approval of the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, a committee was formed on August 29, led by renowned economist, convener of the Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, and Honorary Fellow of the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya. The purpose of this committee is to draft a white paper on the current economic situation of Bangladesh. Subsequently, 11 distinguished experts from various fields have joined as members of the committee.

The members of the committee have already started their activities. Two meetings were held at the White Paper Committee’s office, located at the Planning Commission, on August 29, 2024, and September 3, 2024. In the latest meeting, decisions were made on the key areas the committee will focus on, as well as how they will synthesize discussions with stakeholders through data analysis.
In this context, interested individuals are invited to provide their suggestions and recommendations to the committee using the following channels. The committee believes that with everyone’s cooperation, it will be possible to publish a comprehensive white paper.
