Desk Report: Annual general meeting (AGM) of Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI) was held in Gulshan Club on 19 December in the capital. Ambassador Lee Jang-keun participated in the KBCCI AGM as a chief guest.
KBCCI was incorporated in 2010 as a trade organization with the objectives of promoting, developing, facilitating trade and investment activities between Korea and Bangladesh. Having not been able to hold in 2020 due to the COVID19 situation, the AGM adopted annual report of 2019/2020 and endorsed new members and Board directors.

With around 150 Korean and Bangladesh companies as member, KBCCI is headed by Mostafa Kamal, Chairman of Meghna Group of Industries. Emphasizing the crucial role of the KBCCI in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, Ambassador Lee asked active contribution and support of the organization.
Korea and Bangladesh are two friendly countries and this relationship has contributed toward socio-economic development, cooperation in development of culture, education, infrastructure, technology transfer, trade, business, migration, human resources, capacity building and in many other areas.
