Textown Group join hands with Textile Focus to promote industry best practices globally

In a significant move towards fostering industry best practices and sustainable fashion, Textown Group, one of Bangladesh’s leading garment manufacturers, has partnered with Textile Focus, a prominent textile industry magazine.

This collaboration aims to enhance knowledge sharing and promote ethical and environmentally conscious practices within the fashion industry worldwide.

During the prestigious crest memento handover ceremony, key figures from both organizations were present, including Anowar Hossain Manik, Managing Director, (Textown Group), Rafia Anowar, Director(Textown Group), ABM Sakkaf, Director (Glamour Dresses Limited [GDL]), M.A Islam Riyadh, Editor, Rakibul Islam, Manager (Business Development) of Textile Focus and Denim Focus. Textown Group led by its visionary Founder and Managing Director, Anowar Hossain Manik holds a prominent position as the country’s leading exporter of Readymade Garments (RMG). He was the former director of BGMEA (term of 2015 – 2019).

Rafia Anowar, Director of Textown Group said, “Considering the rocky situation of the global economic and geopolitical landscape, Textown has performed quite well. Due to our commitment and quality, we had an advantageous edge with buyers and we are very happy that we could also grow our buyer portfolio at this time.” ABM Sakkaf, Director of GDL mentioned, “We are very optimistic about the outerwear industry in Bangladesh as we are seeing unprecedented response from buyers. This can be a major turning point in our RMG sector because of such high value product category”.

With the inspiration of being a part of ‘Made in Bangladesh’, Textown Group set out on a journey in the fashion industry in 1991. From a humble beginning with just 35 sewing machines, Textown has grown vertically today as one of the prominent garments’ manufacturers in the world. Quality of manufacturing, customer service, and relentless pursuit of improvement have fueled our growth over the years.
